The holy month of Kārtikā is considered a very auspicious month. It starts with Dīpāvaḷī and ends with Kārtikā Amāvasyā.
Kārtikā Paurṇamī is the most auspicious day of the month and is celebrated as Trikārtikā or Kārtigai Dīpam. Our beloved Satguru Mātā Amṛtānandamayī Dēvī’s lunar birth star (Kārtikā) also falls on the same day which enhances the importance of this day.
It is a very significant festival throughout South India and is celebrated with great fervour in the name of Goddess Kātyāyanī and Lord Kārtikēya depending on the region where it is celebrated.
The Society will be celebrating this day with a Trikārtikā Pūjā at our Centre on 13th December 2024 (Friday) at 7 p.m.
