A monthly birthday is traditionally observed in India based on the moon’s position at the time of birth. Kārtikā is the nakṣatra or star constellation in which the moon was transiting at the time of Amma’s birth. Therefore, each time the moon returns to this spot in the heavens, approximately every 28 days, is considered to be a day of dedication to Amma and is celebrated by her children around the world.
The Society will be celebrating this day (16th November) with a Kārtikā Pūjā at our Centre at 4:30 p.m.
